JML No. 259 is cut from a striking piece of spalted maple with rippling curl along the edge and unusual yellow streaking running through the wood. A natural through knot is filled with yellow epoxy chosen to complement those streaks. The board is shaped and refined by hand, then finished with a food-safe hard-wax oil for a smooth, natural surface.
