Shipping policy

Overview

All items from JML are handcrafted and carefully packaged for safe delivery. Shipping timelines vary based on whether the item is ready to ship or a custom-made piece.

Processing Times

Serving Boards and Non-Custom Items

Most serving boards and ready-to-ship items are packaged and shipped within 3–5 business days.

Custom Furniture

Lead times for custom furniture vary by project and will be communicated before ordering. Shipping occurs once the piece is completed, inspected, and prepared for transport.

Shipping Methods

Orders ship via UPS or USPS unless otherwise arranged. Tracking information will be provided once the order has been shipped. Larger furniture pieces may ship through freight carriers, depending on size and weight.

Shipping Rates

Shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on the item’s size, weight, and destination. Larger custom furniture pieces may require a custom shipping quote.

Local Pickup

Local pickup in Fort Mill, SC is available by request. Once your order is ready, you will be contacted to arrange a pickup time.

International Shipping

International shipping is not currently available.

Lost or Delayed Packages

Once a package has been scanned and accepted by the carrier, responsibility for delays or lost shipments lies with the carrier. Customers should contact the carrier directly with their tracking number for updates.

If assistance is needed, JML can help initiate a carrier inquiry.

Damage During Shipping

If an order arrives damaged:

  1. Save all packaging.

  2. Photograph the item and packaging immediately.

  3. Email photos and details to jmlwoodcraftllc@gmail.com within 48 hours.

A repair or replacement plan will be arranged, and a claim will be filed with the carrier.

Furniture Delivery and Inspection

For larger furniture pieces shipped through freight or white-glove delivery services, the customer may be required to inspect and sign for the item upon arrival. Any visible damage must be noted with the driver at the time of delivery. Failure to report damage at delivery may affect claim eligibility.
